3rd PlanIt provides an extensive suite of tools for creating accurate benchwork diagrams. Various typical wood sizes and a selection of L-Girders allow rapid and accurate design of floor- or wall-mounted benchwork.
This plan view show a typical L-Girder bench to support a 4x8 model railroad layout. The bench was designed from scratch in less than 15 minutes, including the risers. Once you've designed a piece such as a riser, you can duplicate it instantly for use elsewhere.
The completed benchwork is shown above in 3D. All wood surface planes were synthesized by 3rd PlanIt... all you work with are lines, as you would any other line. With this detailed design capability, you can ensure your benchwork is laid out with the same precision as the trackwork.
